The Rum River Festival is typically held early June in Riverside Park. It has been cancelled for 2020 due to Covid 19.

The Mille Lacs County Fair is held in the beginning of August.

The Princeton Speedway race track is located on the Mille Lacs County Fairgrounds.

The Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge is located about 5 miles west of Princeton and a great place for hiking, snowshoeing and wildlife watching.
