Best places to Adopt a Pet in the NW Metro

Giving a rescue dog or cat a home is a wonderful way to add a new member to your family. Here is a list of some of the best places to adopt a pet in the NW Metro! If you can’t adopt, please consider fostering or donating to these hard working rescues.

Crossroads Animal Shelter – Crossroads has a public adoption center at 2800 10th St SE, Buffalo. They have both dogs and cats. 763-684-1234

No Dog Left Behind – they are a foster based rescue and attend public events with available dogs. All dogs (and sometimes cats and bunnies!) and events are shown on their website.

Happy Tails Rescue is a foster based rescue. All pets and events are shown on their website.

PetSmart Cat Adoption Center – Adoptable cats from Arrow’s Heart Animal Rescue are available to view and meet every day! The adoption center is open from 9am-830pm Monday-Saturday and 10am-6:30pm on Sunday. Elk River and Maple Grove

Ruff Start Rescue is a foster based rescue based in Princeton MN. Adoptable dogs and cats can be found on their website.
