Barb Godding of Dog Talk Training MN is a Twin Cities based Karen Pryor certified training partner, CPDT-KA knowledge assessed trainer, holds memberships in the Association of Professional Dog Trainers, Pet Professional Guild and she is a Canine Good Citizen evaluator.
We met Barb when our dog Fender attended her puppy class, and were extremely impressed with her style of training. In this video, Barb shows her technique of training 5 month old Gus the skill of “down” with 3 steps – 1. Capture 2. Name it 3. Try it out!
Barb is also a trainer for the Pets for Vets Minneapolis Chapter, which provides animals to Veterans who could benefit from having a trained companion pet. Her company also provides training for Secondhand Hounds foster families to improve the skills of dogs in foster care to help them to prepare for their future forever homes. She also offers group classes to adopters once their adoptions have been finalized. Barb has taught group classes ranging from puppy to advanced, Canine Good Citizen prep, agility and custom private training.
